We started with a quote from legendary designers Charles and Ray Eames, and drew inspiration from an Arts & Architecture magazine cover designed by @eamesoffice in 1943. The final result is a livable mural that gives the space infinite capacity to connect our community and grow ideas.
I worked with digital marketing agency Original Form to create a mural for their new office space in the award-winning Torr Kaelan building in downtown San Diego. They prompted me with a quote from legendary designers Charles and Ray Eames, and we bonded over our affinity for modernist architecture and design. With this in mind, I found inspiration in an Arts & Architecture magazine cover designed by the Eames office in 1943.
I made some pins! They’re based on the mural I made at Liberty Station for NTC Foundation. They’ll be available at @monikergeneral soon. You can also send me a Venmo (@jamesarmenta ) for $8 and message me your address, I’ll ship them out this week✌️
