Curated by @james_locks_ , Unwind has been quietly growing over the past year and is carving a place of calm in manchesters music scene. A space to switch off, relax and slow down.
Our home @kontrast.mcr is a space where values align closely with Unwind. Inclusive, welcoming and community at the forefront.
Line ups stay intimate and balanced, showcasing talent from manchester’s local scene and beyond, giving DJs space to play outside of what they’re usually known for.
Throughout the night, downtempo and ambient selections from our DJs sit alongside the sauna and ice bath slots. Booking a sauna slot gives you access to the music all night, maybe for a moment to yourself or for a cosy catch up with your mates.

the challenges this year have been on another level and an emotional rollercoaster I could not have prepared for

@james_locks_ is a manchester based DJ making his mark on the city’s underground scene. a resident for the powerhouse duo @blashaallatt ’s queer techno party @frixion.mcr , he is usually known for weaving techno, house and breaks with a raw energy inspired by the freedom of queer spaces.
driven by community and connection, Locks is carving out a space as a vital voice in Manchester’s scene, blending intensity and intimacy while celebrating the liberating power of the dancefloor.
