Thanks to everyone who came out for Going Somewhere?, we hope you had as much fun watching as we did making.
This show would have been impossible without the steadfast and constant inspiration of my director Lucy Rees, who about 50% of the best jokes and ideas belong to.
Similarly, we would have been dead in the water without the tireless efforts, creativity and attention to detail of tech and sound designer Will ‘Golden Ears’ Palazzo.
We’re still figuring out what happens next with the show, but for now we’ll just say a great big thank you and we hope to go for another walk with you soon.
Xx

🎉🚨CAST ANNOUNCEMENT🚨🎉
The Wonder Horse! Spans the short yet culturally significant life and afterlife of Phar Lap, Australia’s favourite racehorse. A semi historical, semi fantastical musical featuring a horse puppet the size of a large dog.
It's 1924 and the world is on the cusp of a global depression. Young strapper Tommy Woodcock is tasked with whipping a disgustingly ugly and awkward horse into shape so he can become a champion and save his investors from financial ruin. This ultimate underdog is Phar Lap, soon to be Australia's hero. Throughout his meteoric rise, we see Tommy and Phar Lap's love and friendship grow stronger and stronger, until they ultimately become the dynamic duo the history books know and love. However, when Phar Lap suffers a great tragedy, Tommy is left a wreck...
Flash forward 100 years to the modern day where young scientist Joan Malone is working on an experiment that hopes to save the Boggomoss Snail (a critically endangered species native to Queensland.) But what does that have to do with Phar Lap? You’ll have to come along and find out...
With animation, and songs such as Heart as Big as Phar Lap, Working Class Hero and Deal with the Devil.
Starring James Collopy, Josh Burton, Laura Buskes, Isaac Haigh, Kit Richards and Frankie McNair.
Written by Kit Richards
Story by Kit Richards and Lucy Rees
Music and Lyrics by Kit Richards and Isaac Haigh
