For once, it is an honour to just be nominated. There are so few comedy writing awards in this country and it’s my goal to lose them all.

STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
After much soul-searching, consultation and several rounds of mediation, representatives for James Colley have today announced that he has regretfully agreed to mark another year of marriage with Miranda Tapsell and engage in a further year of marriage, to commence immediately, and continue until this date next year.
This agreement, in the face of Ms Tapsell’s many well-publicised scandals, is considered to be a great act of charity and kindness on behalf of Mr Colley.
“Mr Colley believes in second chances,” A spokesperson representing James Colley said earlier today. “He thinks that everyone can change. Ms Tapsell is no exception.”
Ms Tapsell could not be reached for comment and is assumed to be out celebrating the unlikely coup of keeping such a wonderful partner under contract for another season. It can be assumed that she said something along the lines of “I am so lucky. Happy anniversary, husband. I am not at all mad about this post.”
Mr Colley requests privacy during this difficult time.
