Nye kviste i Valby 📐
Hvis pladsen under taget er trang, er kviste en god måde at åbne rummet op på.
I Valbyprojektet har vi lavet to kviste på sydsiden – én til hvert værelse – samt én på nordsiden til et fællesrum.
Lige nu er de liiidt svære at kigge ud af, men vi får snart et sæt flotte vinduer i 🪟

Ny 1.sal og tag i Valby
Vi har fået en masse huller i taget 🤔 - bare rolig vi sætter både ovenlys og kviste i 🙂↕️
Bedre sent end aldrig fik vi afholdt rejsegilde med både tømrerne, tagfolkene og elektrikerne 🥳
Der var nok pølser at tage af men der blev spist grundigt op 🌭
Nu kommer stilladset snart af og vi skal have tagsten på taget og blik på kvistene. Alt i alt en skøn dag sammen med de dygtige folk på projektet.

Byggestart i Valby 🏗️
Så er der kommet gang i endnu et spændende projekt, hvor jeg har fornøjelsen af at tegne ombygningen af et 30'er hus i Valby.
Efter en vellykket udbudsrunde er opgaven gået til S.M. Bang, der nu har sat fuldt stillads op omkring huset. Det gamle tag er fjernet, og størstedelen af den eksisterende førstesal er nu nedtaget. Tagsten, lofter og de fleste indervægge er væk, og kun skorstenen, gavlen, spær og trappekernen står tilbage på 1. sal.
Jeg glæder mig til at følge transformationen de kommende måneder, hvor huset får nyt liv og bedre plads til den voksende familie.
Løkken Toldbod - a courtyard framed by walls of the past
Since 1836 two buildings have shaped the site: a main house that once served as Løkken’s customs chamber and a smaller outbuilding behind it. Over time the outbuilding disappeared, and the main house was radically renovated, stripping away its finer qualities - the hipped roof, the delicate cornice line, the wooden windows, and the doors once painted in a dark Caput Mortum
The only original architecture remaining were the solid brick walls and a faint trace of the building’s former window rhythm.
The project offers an alternative to demolishing the old house entirely by insisting on preserving its walls as a quiet imprint of history. It restores the relationship between main house and back house by introducing two new structures that anchor themselves around the historic walls. Together they form a courtyard offering refuge from the strong wind off the North Sea.
Løkken Toldbod
The houses are organized around central cores that gather entrance, kitchen, bath, storage and stairs, creating a circular flow one can move around. Built-in sliding doors make the spaces flexible and able to adapt to the residents’ needs.
Along the facades, niches invite spontaneous dwelling and create a buffer zone between bedrooms and shared rooms.
The larger house can be divided into a small apartment for two people and a larger one for six, or opened up into one continuous home with long views stretching the full length of the building.
