we actually made the decision to intentionally embark on this musical journey together a little over a year ago and it’s hard to pick an exact anniversary date for Lola Jak - plus we already got like 3 anniversaries as a couple 😅 - but it was on this day in 2023 that our big kid controller arrived and we did our first legit mix 👧🏼👦🏿
never would’ve guessed how meaningful this project would become to us in such short order. massively grateful for all that’s come in these last 12 months ✨🎉

we talked a lot about Baja Magic this February, especially the day that this set took place.
la noche de la Luna Llena 🌝
we were at the Mercado Organico in SJDC, playing what was scheduled to be the last show of our mini-tour.
not too long into our set, three different groups of people invited us to spin at a full moon party they were having that night. we obviously said yes and a nondescript Saturday evening turned into one of our favorite Baja memories and the true end of our February tour.
we had a blast playing at this awesome community gathering (22-years running!). extra glad we remembered to hit record on both of our sets that night 🥲
