We raised £400 for @youngmindsuk at Many Fish To Fry Live last week by raffling off the last remaining Everything Goes Back To Normal Button. These were handmade back in 2013, presumed sold out until I found one, rather fittingly, in the back of a cupboard. Apologies to all those who were sad not to win this one, I’m exploring the idea of making some more, we’ll see. Young Minds do amazing work, thanks so much to all those who supported them by buying a ticket. I added another £50 to make it £450 in total. Love Jake

I’ve never felt love, connection, energy, community like that before, never heard the songs sung so loudly by so many people, never had that many significant people from my music life all gathered together in one room, never felt a gig go by so fast, never felt as proud to share a stage with people before. For reasons I only partly understand, all the people in that room had invited this album deep into their lives, the level of goodwill was just ridiculous at times, especially useful for all the times I forgot the words, which was often. The joy was overwhelming for me, all of us on stage absolutely soaked it up. Nights like that don’t happen that often so it’s good to appreciate them when they come. One day I woke up to find a guy with my face and my name, asking for my life. I figured he deserved it more than me, so I gave it to him. A post about fatherhood is on my newsletter page.
