After 10 incredible years, tonight is my last performance as a company member for Doug Varone and Dancers. It’s a special one. In my hometown of Dallas, TX, howdy y’all 🤠, with my friends and family in attendance. Doug, you’re a brilliant artist and creator, nobody compares to you, and you constantly inspire me. To the company members past and present, I have loved each and every moment getting to dance and work together over the years. Words fail in trying to articulate what this company, this work and the undeniably talented people involved mean to me. I am forever grateful for this amazing opportunity and experience, lucky and blessed to know all of you, and to be a dancer, teacher, and artist in the world today. I love you all so deeply. Here’s to a new chapter ahead!

What a testament to God’s faithfulness and will to celebrate this day. Devin and I had to clear many hurdles and unforeseen obstacles to have this as of our new wedding day. We experienced moments of skepticism with having to postpone our wedding twice - asking each other, “would this day ever happen?”

In the midst of our storm, we saw a clearing and moment of opportunity to plan a last minute elopement at the Dallas Arboretum. Even though it’s not what we envisioned or planned for, I’m grateful for our family and friends who encouraged us to move forward. We had a lovely day and also mini-moon in the hill country of Texas.

April 19, 2020. Today was meant to be our special day to declare our everlasting commitment and love for one another. To stand before our family and friends and say I do. Unfortunately, with this crisis, we were forced to make the extremely difficult decision to postpone our wedding.

Devin and I would have had a moment alone before the ceremony and reception for our first look. To have a brief moment to spend together before the rest of the day quickly unfolds. Even though we have to wait till August for this moment now, I’ll still be nervously awaiting with anticipation to see Devin in her wedding dress and be engulfed in all her beauty.

We also had to cancel our honeymoon to Greece and postpone looking for an apartment. I feel selfish typing this message as people are sacrificing their lives for the safety, health and well-being of others. I’m extremely grateful for these people. In the midst of everything going on, I’m still hopeful for the future. We’re counting down the days when we can celebrate with our family and friends in person and give each one of you a big hug and squeeze.

Devin, through the high highs and low lows, I’ll always be by your side. Even though this pandemic has caused an interruption of our timing and day, I’m believing for God’s faithfulness, goodness and timing to prevail in this situation. Thank you for loving me. Can’t wait to marry you!

My dad, Donnie Bone, unexpectedly passed away on November 22. It’s been a very challenging month for my family as we continue to try and piece everything together and make sense of it. He was a very lovable, generous and at times stubborn and hardheaded man. His work ethic was undeniable, even started working at the age of eleven. He never met a stranger and truly cared and invested in people. I’ll miss him dearly and will hold our memories close. As we enter a new decade and year, I’ve been reflecting on the importance of reaching out to the people you love and care about. To be more intentional about our time here on Earth and also meeting up and hanging out with family and friends. You never know the last time you’ll speak to them, no matter how big or small the conversation. I love you dad with all of my heart. I’ll see you again one day and you’ll always be with me and by my side.

Hey y’all, she said yes! We had a truly unbelievable day, which included a special fine dining experience at Eleven Madison Park. We had a ten course meal and got to act fancy as we tried new and exciting foods. Thank you to the restaurant staff who slipped love notes from our parents into my bag to our friends who were hiding in the bushes to capture the big moment. We have been overwhelmed with love and joy from our family and friends and wanted to share with the rest of our communities.
I love you Devin. You bring me so much joy, laughter, smiles and love. Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you and plan our future together. Let the planning begin. 7.7.19 when she said yes!
