@sohodh and I have been flirting with the idea of turning my work into Art Rugs for a long time now and finally, it was time. We started with a custom rug for my dining room, made from one of my favorite 2020 #jaimesketchbookery pieces. Swipe to see the incredible level of detail @jacobrahman ensures—through texture and custom dyes—when capturing the subtleties of my hand-drawn piece. I’m so happy! 💚💜💛🖤 More soon! ✨✨✨
Here is my second large weaving, completed in March. This one took me a lot less time (~3 months) and I worked from a very simple cartoon outline and added all the colors and details as I went. ➡️ Swipe through to see the progress.
The design is inspired by a large set of AI outputs I created by feeding AI with my drawings and asking it to get weird and chaotic in the results. Then I drew the design on my iPad, printed it out in sections and taped it all together.
I mostly used meet and separate, which I think made it go faster, but I ended up having to sew so many slits afterward that I’m not sure I’d do it again like that. I used the interlocking method in the pixelated part.
I learned SO MUCH by making this and I am very happy with the result.
I haven’t finished the hanging design at the top… still pondering how I want this to hang.
Approx. 24” W x 34” H
After 17 months of patience and lots of weekends, she’s finally done!
Glitch weaving 240811
Finished size: 38” wide x 37” high
So excited about this piece because it marks a turning point in bringing my digital work to the physical world.
Swipe for some of my favorite details.
This will be the first of more glitch weavings but I’m going to make some smaller ones next 😅

THANK YOU @artwolfgallery for the opportunity to show and talk about my fiber art process. I have been pretty shy (…and lazy and a scared) to get out there with it. Maybe because for so many years, I spent most of my time talking about other people’s work and creative practices. Stepping out from behind my screen to talk about myself was not easy, but thank you Yael for actually making it easy. 🫶
