Just some shots Joel took of me having a religious experience.
Mondo Kim's was a formative place for me after I graduated film school. I used to spend hours there, pouring over every case, learning about the weirdest stuff I could, trying to decide what I could afford on a gig salary. When I asked for a job, the worker made it very clear that I didn't know enough about movies. When I could, I would treat myself to a lavender milkshake from Sympathy for the Kettle around the corner.
I was very moved to get to visit the Alamo Drafthouse's installation! It transported me to another time.
I'm letting loose on some scariness this season. I'm running for The Face of Horror (link in bio) and I'm going to be doing grotesque art installations in my apartment windows with a borrowed projector.
