NEW: In episode 166 of Know Time, I interview @jahnaviphalkey - science historian, author of Atomic State: Big Science in Twentieth Century India, director of the documentary Cyclotron, recipient of the Infosys Prize and founding director of @scigalleryblr 🔬 In this conversation, we explore: - her childhood influences and journey into science - the importance of science history, the problems with science communication, innovation and research in India - what is the physics behind a cyclotron? - the messy history of nuclear physics research in India; the clash between government intervention and scientific research - the ethos of Science Gallery in Bengaluru (a place you should definitely visit!) Full episode link in bio! Note: These are the type of stories Know Time was built for - these are the conversations I love, and want to highlight. However, an hour-long discussion about nuclear physics history will never tempt the algorithm. So if you like it, please do share it around! #science

If you've ever been told your questions are too big, too slow, or too uncertain, you're not alone. This Women's Day, we bring to you thoughts from five Infosys Prize laureates. Scientists who sat with hard problems, stayed in the uncertainty, and kept going anyway. #WomensDay2026 #womeninscience #InfosysPrize #infosyssciencefoundation
