Happy Birthday Benicio! I got to apply his makeup 20+ years ago on Sin City. Chin and nose prosthetics (by KNB), stuck a gun slide in his forehead, slit his throat, showed him some tricks with a Zippo (which he utilized in the film) and found out we both loved Tom Waits and Artis Gilmore. Growing up I wanted to be either Evel Knievel, a makeup fx artist or a member of KISS. Couldn’t figure out if I liked Ace or Gene more so I mashed them up into this early makeup. Might have been around ‘75. Was a KISS junkie and they were the first concert I saw in ‘79. Glad I got to see the originals then and their reunion tour in the early 90’s.
