I applied to 1,000 jobs after college and never heard back.
So I built my own.
I started doing hair at 7 years old in Monrovia, Liberia.
When I moved to the U.S., I kept going—doing my cousins’ hair, my mom’s friends whoever would sit in my chair.
I graduated college at 20 with a degree in Public Health, but doors kept closing.
In 2018, I launched J’Adore Naemea with just $200
No savings. No investors. Just God, my hands, my gift, and faith.
I’ve worked at Walmart, Target, daycare, and a bank… but nothing felt like mine.
In 2020, I got laid off and that was the push I needed to go all in.
I moved to a new city, started over with nothing in savings, and went full time with my business.
I’ve never looked back.
I’m Liz.
This is my story.
This is the brand I built from nothing.
Still evolving. Still building. And I’m just getting started.

I know this post may surprise some people.
But one thing about me… I will never build a business that goes against what God has placed on my heart.
Yes, it could make me more money.
Yes, it might be what the market wants.
Yes, people will question it.
But obedience to God will always come before profit for me.
As a Christian who has surrendered both my life and my business to Him, I cannot sell or offer Indian hair.
Some people will understand this.
Some people will disagree.
And that’s okay.
But my brand will always be built on faith, integrity, and obedience.
