Some Easter eggs from my final Around The Horn appearance:
The way I pronounced “Nine” comes from one of the most sure-fire ways to score points on ATH: say “nine times” in the manner of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (see slide 2)
I said farewell to @tonyreali in Italian because I always loved how proud he was of is Italian heritage. when I was in Turin for the 2006 Winter Olympics I saw a bus with his family name on it so I sent him a picture. (Slide 4) He used it as his computer desktop photo for a while.

“JD, roll take track THAT” was for our director John Dursee, (Slide 5, raised hand) who would say “roll it, take it, track it” to get the animation and video going before a segment.
“Aaron Solomon, I’ll lay out — forever” was a nod to our producer (Slide 6). He would tell us to “lay out” — TV talk for “shut up” — when we were talking too much between segments. He probably said it to me the most because I was always so chatty.
At first i had it as “lay out permanently” but I changed it to “Forever” in tribute to the show my friend @marabrockakil (Slide 7) did for Netflix. Go watch with your free time now that Around The Horn is off the air. And thanks to all of you for giving us 30 minutes on so many days since 2002
