I’m late here but I needed to find the perfect words. Babe you had a hell of a career. Crazy to think that we were 20 and 21 when this journey began, and what a journey it’s been! Every minute played, every point scored. Every assist, every steal. I’m honored to have witnessed it all. Honored to be one of your day ones, your biggest fan. And while most will congratulate you on those feats, as well as your impact on the game, I am also honored to acknowledge everything you did off the court. The memories we’ve made, the moments you WERE there for, the things you made possible. Never missed a first day of school. The thankless feats that nobody saw but us. The boyfriend, fiancé, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, the FRIEND. Our safe space, our provider, our very own superhero. I’m just here to say thank you. I’m beyond proud. Of your accomplishments but more importantly, that you’re mine, well, ours! So happy to have you home, to enjoy you, to create more memories, more jokes, more life! My prayer is that you enjoy this next chapter of life as much, if not more, than the last. That you are intentional about doing what brings you joy, enjoying the fruits of your labor and stepping gracefully in to the big boss that you are destined to be! I love you.
