Still in the midst of processing all the magic that went down almost a week ago today at the second ever @kodered_to production. These women are so so special to me and I want to thank each of you for allowing me to be a part of your dance journey. We wanted to do things we had never seen done before in the city and I think we made that a reality.
To all the staff, volunteers, friends & family that helped make the show happen... we couldn’t have done it without you and I’ll be forever grateful for your support. To every single person that stepped inside that venue to watch and support, you are the reason all of this was possible & you gave these ladies all the energy they needed to push through this difficult show.
Kode Red has tons of exciting twists and turns in store for Season 3 and we can’t wait to share with you. Join us on Sunday February 25th for our audition and see what our family is all about.

This is the first — and possibly the only — FULL piece I’m going to share from this show. I typically prefer to let the pieces, top to bottom live on the way they were experienced in the venue BUT this piece was a special one. ❤️🔥
This dance was never about cleanliness. Not about symmetry. Not about hitting every line at the exact same time. It was about something messier than that. My life is FILLED primarily with incredible, loving, happy memories but this particular piece was about revisiting a small handful of difficult memories and feelings I’ve spent a lot of time trying to push down… and making peace with the fact that they happened. That they shaped me. That they’re part of my story.
The good memories aren’t the only ones we can be grateful for in this life. Sometimes the hard ones build us in ways comfort never could.
To my dancers — thank you for trusting me with this. Thank you for bringing it to life with honesty and heart. And thank you for letting me unleash my annual therapy dance on you/running an entire half marathon worth of running transitions 😂

The process is never easy — it’s long rehearsals, tough notes, big risks, and trusting the vision even when you can’t see the full picture yet. But watching it all come to life on stage? There’s nothing more rewarding.
I am beyond proud of every single one of these dancers. Thank you for trusting me, for pushing yourselves, and for pouring everything you had into this show. You are the reason Kode Red is what it is.
To our incredible guest choreographers, my friends and family who stepped in to lend a helping hand so many times (and make sure I was ok throughout the process 😂), our volunteers, tech crew, stage managers, and every helping hand behind the scenes — this doesn’t happen without you. It truly takes a village.
And the best part? We’re just getting started. Bigger vision. Bigger risks. Bigger season ahead.

One year ago today, we stepped onto a stage I had dreamed about for years. 🤍
I sat in that audience so many times as a high school kid, watching in awe and quietly promising myself that one day my work would be up there too. Last year, we made that dream a reality — together.
Getting to take that trip with such an incredible group of talented, inspiring women made it even more special. The growth, the memories, the energy… it’s something I’ll carry with me forever. @kodered_to 💫
