Long before I understood flow through design and yoga contexts- there was a character on TV that captured my attention as a very little girl. FLO. I had long since forgotten about her until yesterday when I came upon this patio space.
I knew nothing about the South and had zero knowledge of a Southern accent…then came Flo! She was hardworking, witty, direct, and fearless- I admired all of it! She had me mesmerized by something other than beauty. As I looked at the sign yesterday, it all came flooding back. I admired her; and it’s those very qualities that I have emulated in my life, which have brought me much success. The real Flo was a two time Golden Globe winner and Tony nominated New Yorker. Going with the Flo today! XOXO

Thank you to furniture designer Mikael Axelsson for this Friday Find - inspired by the failures IKEA experienced in the 90s with its blow-up furniture. Working together with IKEA designers and engineers he developed an inflatable chair that has high quality fabric such that a cat with claws cannot deflate this chair.
What is so awesome is that it is both stylish and environmentally friendly at the same time. Air is free and taking it doesn’t destroy the planet. It packs flat and is self assembled so shipping is more efficient, which also helps the environment. On a final note - IKEA is always affordable. You 20 somethings should RUN not walk to IKEA on May 14th the launch date for the IKEA PS 2026 Easy Chair. It’s a breath of fresh air! XOXO

So very proud of this design! ❤️. The client direction for this sauna and cold plunge bathroom off the home gym was brief: masculine, stylish, blue or black, “I’m sure you can add cool details”. To ensure the sauna wasn’t disconnected from the space, I clad the walls and ceiling in cedar. World famous fine art photography by @david.yarrow.photography contact @tfaadvisory for his work. It really amped up the cool factor! XOXO

How much does it cost for people to pretend you are stylish, fashionable , and knowledgeable about art? Reportedly, $20 million, which is what Jeff Bezos and his plastic fantastic wife paid to be Honorary Chairs at the Met Gala tonight.
Note that if you really were stylish and fashionable, you would already have a reputation for it. And, if you really were charitable- you would pay people a living wage, stop laying them off from work, and donate anonymously! Even though you can purchase fashion and art, you cannot purchase style or an artistic eye! Those are God given talents not for sale to posers.
