Another artist announcement! The amazing Jacqueline Hackett will be joining us for Local Fest on 5/16!
Jacqueline Hackett is a Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter whose slow-burning, emotionally rich sound weaves together the textures of indie folk and alternative country. Guided by unfiltered lyricism and a deep sense of vulnerability, her songs explore love, loss, and the murky space in between.
In 2022, Hackett introduced herself with her debut EP As the Summer Let You Down—a raw and intimate reflection on the loss of her father. That project placed her on the radar of Sirius XM (The Coffee House) and earned her a reputation for stark, poetic storytelling. OnesToWatch called her work “an auditory and intimate glimpse into her world,” noting her ability to wear emotional bruises like a badge.
Her 2024 full-length debut Pollyanna Cowgirl (Better Company Records) expanded that world fusing atmospheric production with country-rooted songwriting and narratives of self-destruction, clarity, and survival. Self-booked tours and support slots with 49 Winchester, The Last Revel and many others have helped her build a devoted following.
