Help me reach $1500 as I navigate medical leave
These last 2 months have presented extremely challenging developments for my health, so I’m asking to lean on y’all during this time!
In January, I had sudden urgent GI symptoms and had to be seen by a specialist, but the bureaucratic health system has only prolonged getting basic care and clarity. I’ve been given conflicting information on my coverage and have had multiple appointments canceled on me without notice. After 6 weeks of finally nailing down a PCP appt to get a referral to a GI specialist, I’m now currently on a waitlist with no ETA on when I could be seen.
I am humbled to have so many friends, family, kasamas, artists, titas, caregivers, in my life that I can call on for help in times like these. In the coming weeks, as I apply for FMLA+PLO, I’ll be releasing riso prints of my designs and meaningful moments documented to help stay afloat.

All funds support rent during my medical leave, and any excess will go towards organizations supporting the vital migrant workers organizing that Portland and Gresham need. Since becoming a caregiver, I’ve spent a lot of my time educating fellow coworkers about workplace rights, driving them to doctor appts, apply for EBT and OHP, providing childcare, singing, laughing, stumbling through tagalog and processing migration trauma. All so we find resolve in knowing that we are not alone in our struggles and that to bring about the better world we want, we have to do it together.
