Hey 👋 lol. Excited to share that we shot a short film! It’s called Pinche Nerdo.
Over the past few years, I’ve poured my heart into making this thing happen. It’s the story of a young man from Tijuana who dreams of becoming a comic book artist, so he crosses into San Diego to promote his work in the crowds of Comic Con. It’s about our shared cities and shared pop-culture. I’m so proud of it and all my friends who collaborated on it.
The short is filmed and fully edited but there are a few final steps—like sound design, color correction, and festival submissions—that we need to complete before it can be let loose into the world.
Tomorrow I’m launching a crowdfunding campaign to help get this over the finish line. I know there is so much in the world to give to, but if you’d like to support this project by donating or simply spreading the word, it would mean the world to me.
