Low Maintenance appreciation💓
Still pinching myself cause this trip was straight out of a dream. Watching the first iterations of @naturalselectionsnow at Baldface as a local kid inspired me to pursue snowboarding. I knew I’d make it to Baldface at some point in my life but I didn’t expect it to be so soon!
Major gratitude to Estelle for getting me in the mix and all the staff @baldfacelodge for cultivating such a rad experience! It was truly an honour to snowboard with absolute legends and some of the best riders of my generation. Also thanks to whoever put me in a room with the homie @markandmorrison ❤️
Bonus story; I managed to slam heavy on the QP on the first night and thought I wouldn’t be able to walk the next day. My back leg was severely bruised and I was in a lot of pain but I pushed through because who knows if I would ever have an opportunity like this again. Worth it! It’s been three weeks and I still have som fun colours to remind me of the best week of my season💪
Wildcard run from the IFSA Challenger comp🤟
Had some trouble activating the landing gear but I rode the line I wanted, had a great time, and stayed in one piece! Hard to beat the feeling of blasting a large method off the top ropes.
Massive thanks to all the organizers and supporters that made this event happen and to everyone who supported me to show up. Truly an honour to compete against some of the top riders in North America.
I love snowboarding ❤️

Avalanche Close Call
I am sharing this video as a cautionary warning for backcountry users in the West Kootenays. On Saturday Feb 21, I made a series of decisions in the backcountry near Whitewater that caused a size 2.5 avalanche which nearly cost me the ultimate price.
The major mistakes that I made on this day included:
- going alone
- disregarding warning signs such as whumphs
- failing to test the slope before riding
- misjudging the Avalanche Canada bulletin (moderate rating, persistent weak layer)
- limited terrain and snowpack evaluations due to previous experience riding the same line
My judgements were clouded by perceived constraints including:
- tight weather and sunlight window
- limited time in my schedule for personal riding
- filming the run
- having plans immediately following
- climate anxiety
I am not proud of what I did on this day and I am very lucky to have the chance to learn from this. I hope you can learn from my mistakes as well.
To all my family and friends who are reading this post, I sincerely apologize for my selfish behaviour and promise to make smarter decisions moving forward. I am compiling a list of touring partners so that I never end up in this situation again.
