It’s been a real pleasure getting to know Liz over the last year or two and it meant a lot to lead the talkback portion of the afternoon in front of such a reputable room of producers and music professionals. “Halcyon Phase” is an extremely special piece of ambient music and I highly recommend you seek it out.
We wrapped recording our Audio-Technica podcasts for the ‘25-‘26 season a few weeks ago and it’s been a real pleasure stepping back into my old hosting shoes. I went to school for journalism with the specific goal of breaking into the first wave of mainstream podcasting and interviewing artists. I fell behind a bit, but now I get to work with some of the most exciting talent in and around New York. Thanks to every artist who has trusted me with their stories.
I came down with a cold yesterday so thank the lord for @adessobakeshop . They delivered a huge box of fresh cookies. The sourdough hazelnut toffee one (see photo) is mind blowing. And I could eat a dozen of their amaretti without stopping for air. Absolutely getting me through this sick day. They’re shipping fresh treats directly to you now! Go buy some! Happy season 50, #survivor! Thank you for motivating me to dream bigger. It was a mess of a starting point, but without it, the chain of events that leads to the rest of my life is never set off.
