marathon dump from this past weekend in oc.
i used to never enjoy running - playing basketball growing up made it seem running was a punishment.
but @hope_linao got me into running shortly before we had theo. i hated even just running 2,3 miles. but i fell in love with running because it sucks so much. it’s an awesome way to combine physical and mental exertion. just you fighting your thoughts telling you to stop and walk.
But it became a way to give thanks to God for being able to use my body, to enjoy the outdoors, to spend time with Hopey, to set a good example for Theo, and to maintain good health.
Hopey and I trained for a long time for this marathon. Unfortunately, she tore her Achilles a few weeks before the race. I ran for the both of us. And I can’t wait til she makes an amazing comeback. And we can cross that finish line together.
year 4 was a memorable one…
here’s a compilation of some of theo’s favorite memories… i hope he’ll remember at least some of these for the rest of his life.
this past year theo was blessed with being able to travel to orlando, punta cana, carlsbad, tahoe, and japan, spending a lot of time with family - which he loved! year 4 was the year of action figures, lego building, learning to ride a 2 wheel bike, starting baseball, learning to snow board, helping mama recover from her achilles injury, finding out he’s going to be a big brother, arcade days with dada, cuddles with mama, loving being a pre-k student, inquisitive questions about Jesus, and so much more!
theo, you are blessed beyond measure… like i tell you every night, mama and dada love you so much and God loves you even more. you are truly a gift from above. giving you the life you have alongside dada and our family has been the biggest joy of my life and i can’t wait to see how much God grows you in year 5. you’ll always be my baby, i love you so much theo!! 🩵

although i LOVE being a boy mom & i have always felt like i’m naturally more of a boy mom, i’ve always dreamed of having a baby girl... i can’t believe my dream is actually coming true! i feel so honored to carry this sweet baby girl & i am so in awe of how God’s plans are perfect and He knows exactly what we need. jake, theo, & i are beyond ecstatic and feel so so blessed to be able to welcome a baby girl into the fam. she’s already so loved & adored!!! can’t wait to meet you my lil girly. here’s to more things pink and sparkly! 💖🌸🎀👛🌷💞✨

reliving this dreamy day… ☼ ♡
since the start of our relationship, and especially since the day we found out i was pregnant, the intention of our relationship was to get married one day. despite having a baby together, we decided, with much counsel and prayer, that it would be best for us to wait to get engaged until we felt peace from the Lord and that it would be in His timing. we felt that this was important so that we could whole-heartedly choose each other one day… i’m so thankful that we waited for this day and to know that this is God’s will brings me so much peace and joy. i thank God for his grace and provision over our relationship these last 5.5 years… we wouldn’t be where we are without God’s unending grace. i am so excited to marry my best friend (as cheesy as that sounds). 🥹 i love you!
