It's another rainy gloomy day... got me in my feels.
I received a call the other day, and I just looked at it as it rang, I didn't recognize the name or number, so I let it go to my voicemail.
I listened to my voicemail, and to my surprise, it was someone trying to get in touch with Stefanie Coleman class of 1975 for the 50th class reunion! I hesitated before I returned the call because this was the first time I was contacted regarding a reunion... how did she get my phone number, etc?! Can't be too careful in this scammy world.🤷🏽♀️
Well, I had a nice conversation with my classmate, whom I didn't know personally, I told her I appreciated the work she did in finding me and other classmates, for I know it had to be difficult since over half the students were of military families. She asked me if there were any classmates that I would like to see again, which a few came to mind.
I was sent a list of names/emails. They also sent a list of classmates that passed.😢 There was a name on that list who I thought of off and on throughout the years. He was tall ginger with big red curls, not a boyfriend, but we were friends, and he always had me laughing. R.I.P Tim Ballard😔
I didn't keep in touch with any of my classmates after I got married in February 1976 for my husband was 10 years older, and he discouraged me from doing so. However, while I was engaged, another classmate called me to try and talk me out of getting married. He was really cute but not a boyfriend either, I was oblivious to his intentions.
Anyhoo, I am entertaining the thought of going just because it IS the Class of 1975 Mascoutah Community High School 50TH REUNION! 🙌🏼
FYI, the female pictured at my graduation and wedding was not a classmate, but my church friend.

My original name on all my Korean documents and passport is Jacky Lee. After being adopted, it was legally changed to Stefanie.
Around ten years ago, I started using Jacky Lee for my creative work. Out of respect for my adoptive mother, I haven't yet officially changed my name back, but I am contemplating doing so now that she has passed. In the meantime, please refer to me as Jacky. 🙏🏽🤗

There’s a version of beauty we’ve been sold for a long time… and then there’s this!
What you’re seeing here is BTS versus final… and the truth is, not much changed. Intentionally.
We didn’t want to be blurring away texture, reshaping or erasing the stories written into someone’s skin. Just light, color, and a whole lot of respect for what already exists.
Because skin is supposed to look like skin. At every age. In every phase. With every line, mark, and change that comes with living.
This shoot was about choosing transparency in post-production. About letting vitality, emotion, and presence come through without distorting it.
We don’t need to “fix” what’s real to make it beautiful!
The question is: are we ready to unlearn what we’ve been taught to expect? ☝️

This shoot was about unlearning what we’ve been told beauty “should” look like. Jackie showed up as she is, soft lines, real texture, lived in skin, and we chose to honor that. No blurring her into someone unrecognizable. No erasing the story her face tells. Just light, conceptualized intention, and respect.
Because ethical retouching isn’t about perfection… it’s about truth telling. Skin is supposed to look like skin. Aging is not something to fix.
We need more transparency in post-production and more representation that actually feels human.

This shoot is a reminder that beauty DOES 👏 NOT 👏 EXPIRE 👏 … it evolves. Skin doesn’t need to be wrinkle-less, poreless, or stripped of texture to be radiant. The lines, the softness, the movement of a face that has lived…this is what makes someone magnetic, alive, and real.
We approached this with intention: celebrating vitality as it exists today, not erasing it in post. Ethical retouching means honoring the person in front of the lens, not reshaping them into something unrecognizable. Transparency matters, because what we normalize visually shapes how we feel about ourselves. LET THAT SINK IN! 😳
The fashion and beauty industry still has a long way to go when it comes to age diversity. When we only see youth, we’re taught to fear everything that comes after it. Representation isn’t just inclusion, it’s the permission we all need. Permission to exist, to be seen, and to embrace every stage of becoming… us.

We’re still pretending that beauty has an expiration date. And we’re just 👏 not 👏 interested 👏 in playing along anymore! Ageism in this industry is SUCH a silent killer, but it’s everywhere: in the retouching, in the casting, in the way we’re taught to erase the very things that make a face… a face. Wrinkles, texture, smile lines, beauty marks: these aren’t flaws, they’re evidence of a life fully lived!
This shoot was our way of pushing back. No over-smoothing, no hiding and no unobtainable standards. Just glowy skin, presence, and the kind of confidence that doesn’t come from trying to look 25 forever. It comes from actually being at home in your body.
There is so much beauty in every stage of life, and it deserves to be seen, not corrected.

I haven't been posting because I've been busy refreshing my space, painting, and fixing stuff, all on my own. It's been really satisfying... I still have more to do.
Oh, and I've been wanting to cut my hair like crazy, craving a bob but as a signed model I can't make any drastic changes in my appearance. So, I ordered a wig from Soul Lady and it showed up today! Talk about timing on this rainy day, I wore it to an art reception of Guy Stanley Philoche "The People's Artist". It was received well and I let a few in on my secret.😉
I am super happy I have options now!
