As a thank you for our wonderful clients and to demonstrate the features of their new bespoke Makers kitchen, we arranged a breakfast morning cooking demonstration, hosted by chef Jack Williams of Maven. Jack prepared and served a delicious meal of Ricotta Hotcakes with Candied Pecans, saffron chicken and basque cheesecake whilst sharing his extensive knowledge of the Miele and Bora appliances.

Here’s a little recipe tease - one of my faves! created for @poggenpohl_uk 🥗
TOMATO PANZANELLA SALAD
1 Sourdough loaf
600g ripe mixed tomatoes, roughly chopped
280g jarred red peppers , and roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves
2-3 tbsp extra virgin olive
Salt and pepper
Basil dressing
2 garlic cloves
1 bunch fresh basil
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
Salt and pepper
Edible flowers for serving
Place the tomatoes in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
Make the basil dressing, crush the garlic and pinch of salt in a mortar with the pestle until garlic is mashed and paste-like, 1 or 2 minutes. Add basil in 3 or 4 additions, crushing and pounding down the leaves until they form a fairly fine paste and finally adding the little red wine vinegar to taste and finally add the extra virgin olive oil. Emulsify the ingredients and bring together.
Grill the sliced sourdough until toasted, now rub the garlic across the bread and then tear into small bite size pieces.
Toss the tomatoes and basil dressing together with your hands in a large bowl. Add a little more salt, pepper, vinegar or oil, if needed.
Garnish with the edible flowers and serve immediately.
