@mikaitasch here you are. Years and years of your life culminating in this day, this moment, these memories. The word PROUD encompasses everything I feel right now. Being a father is something I take most seriously in life, and seeing you grow into the young man you continue to be has been simply wonderful. I can not even count the learning and growth layers I have seen with you, academically, emotionally, socially. The hurdles you have jumped (not literally on the track lol) are impressive in every capacity. You have learned that when you fall down, there are paths to stand up, learn, and grow stronger. You have fought through grief and loss. Today you will stand tall (hahaha tall indeed) as you graduate from the University of MN with honors. You are more than ready to start the next journey in your life. You will journey with grace, strength, patience, and confidence. The universe is lucky to have such a caring, kind, compassionate, hard working young man starting this journey. Special shout-out to @daisykaylyn77 for her co-parenting through all the years. Quite safe to say that her mothering provided SO MUCH to our amazing son.

Kevin was my primary mentor through my 20s, providing me with endless guidance and opportunities. I was an energetic and enthusiastic music lover, and the person I am today is profoundly influenced by the friendship that formed from the mentorship.
I have dj’ed thousands of times throughout my decades, yet few sets are as big as the one I get to perform Sat night after the movie screening. I’m thankful to have my talked partner @azalyne joining with live sax, as we share in a beautiful evening about Kevin.
