A fun day out with @taizan0624 a wee while ago. We ended up walking for a long time as our first objective spooked us a bit with avalanche danger. Maybe the longest walk ins to one of the more accessible falls in Japan haha.

Alpine times

I’ve had this sticker since Grilos memorial in Vogel almost 5 years ago. I could never bring myself to stick it on anything or anywhere, I’ve no idea why. @fischi666 has made loads and they’re always available, but for some reason it just didn’t feel right to put it anywhere. I think about how much has happened since then, even though sometimes it still feels like yesterday. Our community has grown, another Olympics is on showing a small part of it to the world (definitely not the best part but amazing none the less) there has been more tragic and incomprehensible loss which brings back the memory more so. I hope those affected the most find a way to move forwards as we all have had to and probably will again. Some of us have become parents and I only hope I can pass on the same joy and love for the outdoors that Grilo did to Max and Emma and how @grilogang is doing with Alaska. A good friend recently brought one of my favourite pow boards to Japan for me. I woke up to 30cm of snow outside the house. It’s pretty rare where we stay to be honest to get that quality and that much even in the height of winter . I looked at the board and the moment had come. It doesn’t have to have some massive meaning or significance but I just thought, Grilo would have loved this board . Anyway not trying to get too deep, I just felt like sharing. I just miss our friend too.
