Thursday 21 May 8pm: Jackson Mathod 🎵 Jackson Mathod @jacksonmathod is a trumpet player and singer who, over the last 15 years or so, has established his reputation as a highly creative musician who is comfortable performing in a host of different genres. With influences ranging from Miles Davis to Dub and Hip Hop he includes work with artists as diverse as UK jazz great Julian Joseph to performing with Stormzy at Glastonbury. His 2021 album ‘Travels in a Confined Space’, which he described as having a simple and universal message “have fun, move, and enjoy” was played by the likes of BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Jazz FM & Jamie Cullum. For this show, along with @leifmainesounds Leif Maine-guitar, @daniele_gulinobass Daniele Gulino-bass & Jack Robson-drums, he will be featuring, amongst many other groove laden originals, material from his forthcoming album which he says will have “a more psychedelic sound”!
