Countdown to the 50th anniversary of the Memorial Tournament presented by @workday took on momentum today with the 16th annual Legends Luncheon presented by @nationwide . Today’s event raised a record $1.5 million for Nationwide Children’s Hospital—our day-one beneficiary of @memorialgolf . That brings the 16-year total to nearly $18 million! Thank you, Central Ohio! We not only raised needed funds, but we raised some spirits with a lively Q&A featuring @nbcsports Steve Sands, 2026 Honoree David Graham and inaugural 1976 winner Roger Maltbie. Roger, the beloved on-course analyst for NBC and @golfchannel , was surprised with replica shirt and pants identical to what he wore in 1976. As he explained, the pants were his homage to America’s bicentennial in 1976. But his friends gave him so much grief for the pants, they had a party back home to burn them. Who knows, we might see Roger don his new pants at this year’s Memorial and for @america250 . Putting a bow on the day was 14-year-old Nationwide Children’s patient champion Braylee Epperson of Pataskala, Ohio. Braylee was honored with the Nicklaus Youth Spirit Award, and she was joined on stage by four past winners of the award which is given annually to a patient who has demonstrated a strong, driving spirit in overcoming obstacles, an unwavering optimistic outlook, and a powerful conviction for their connection to Nationwide Children’s. My. My. My. Oh, how times have changed! I just saw a man win for the second time in less than two months and win almost as much money in those victories ($8.1 million) than I won in my entire career on both the @pgatour and @pgatourchampions —combined! Well played, Cameron Young! Nice going! Now, can I get a job caddying next week?! 😆 Seriously, it is nice to see a good player who now really believes in himself. Winning breeds winning. When you’ve won and then put yourself in that position again, you believe and you’re confident you can win again. It was obvious—when Cam led from the start of the @cadillacchampionship until the end—that he truly had faith in his game and himself to close out another victory. That mentality helps propel a player into a successful career very, very quickly. Congratulations Cam! I’m proud and happy for you! Now, about that caddie job next week. 😊 And one more congrats, to @trumpdoral ! I loved seeing Doral back this week! When the Doral Open debuted in 1962—my rookie year—it was just my seventh TOUR start. It’s not the Blue Monster this great grandpa played. It’s gone from just over 7,000 yards back in the 1960s to over 7,700 yards today (actual 7,739 yards). It’s modernized, rightfully so, for today’s game. One thing I do remember from that inaugural year of 1962 is that they couldn’t even fill the field of 144 that week. Again, oh how things have changed! Doral has been mainstay on the PGA TOUR for years and years and years, and it’s great to welcome it back! 👏🏼

With some help from my good friend Tony Jacklin, we designed The Concession Golf Club to be a tremendous private club experience that would also pay tribute to a moment we shared at the 1969 Ryder Cup. I’m proud of what we accomplished, but also proud of the history of high-profile events the club has hosted in its first 20 years—from NCAA Championships to the PGA TOUR to the PGA TOUR Champions. Thanks to the PGA of America for believing in The Concession, and I hope the players and fans enjoy the course over these final 3 days of the Senior PGA Championship.🏆
