While social media is under attack from AI slop, I’ll show you a video from 2017 that is, in a sense, a classic of the deep internet. It was presumably filmed in Sydney near Central Station.
In the video, a couple of people are actively arguing about something, while a passerby in the background is petting a gull.
What’s going on here? This is a Silver Gull, and this poor baby is sick or injured. In normal life, you can’t just walk up to a healthy gull and pet it, it won’t let you get close. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any information to understand how this story ended.
If you see something like this, where a gull is standing still and not reacting to its surroundings, it means it needs your help. The best solution would be to take it to the nearest veterinarian for examination.
