submitted for the approval of the secret crumb society, i call this recipe... // if i had a baking club, it would be called the secret crumb society and it would be like a cookbook club, but each meeting we would bake according to a different theme. i would use this lil badge i designed to make shirts and totes and stickers and i would make zines with all our recipes to share every month.
i'm working on digitizing a typeface i found on the typography field trip earlier this month. unfortunately, it doesn't have lowercase letters, just small caps. so the challenge is figuring out what those would look like. no name yet but historically it's referred to as rococo.
used this quote from alice walker's 'possessing the secret of joy' to play with type in the scanner and then threw a bunch of textures at it for the hell of it
playing around with some hand lettering with this quote from meret oppenheim that comes from her acceptance speech for the city of basel art prize in 1975 ✨
another typography project | this one is a fan favorite (and my favorite), an accordion-style type specimen book using song lyrics to play with one typeface to show off the type in different weights and sizes. i made this example with gigantic by pixies and the typeface job clarendon.
