𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 (2025) Last year Lachlan and I travelled to Death Valley for a once in a lifetime experience. Over the course of three days I documented Lachlan’s artistic practice from dawn til dusk, within and around the Badwater Basin and Tecopa Hot Springs. In times of increased dissociation from our natural rhythms, this work feels particularly poignant. Air, light, and water join in analog harmony to offer the observer a momentary glimpse of the forces governing existence. You can head over to NOWNESS.com to view the full 6 minute film. Recorded live across two events in Los Angeles, Carlos Niño & Friends’ 𝑬𝒍𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑰𝒏𝒗𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 / "𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉" brings together a wide circle of musicians moving as one, built from guitar, drums, saxophone, synths, percussion, and the fluid spoken word of Saul Williams 𝑬𝒍𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑰𝒏𝒗𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 was captured during Leaving Records ‘Listen to Music Outside in the Daylight Under a Tree’ series, recorded by Bear Glass and in collaboration with Living Earth for a California wildfire fundraiser in February 2025, with Saul Williams and Maia the Artiste’s voices at its center. A performance documentary video by Jackie Radinsky commemorates an important milestone of community activation in Elysian Park, Los Angeles that day.
