As a granddaughter of Auschwitz survivors, I never thought in my lifetime I would ever feel even a semblance of the political climate that led to the Holocaust. I always asked myself, “how did people not speak up? How did they not see what was happening right in front of them? How could they rationalize and allow this to happen?” You. You are the reason that it was allowed to happen. Your apathy. Your mediocre mind that is being brainwashed. If you ever asked yourself what you would have done during the Holocaust, it’s what you’re doing now.
