Second Seed is a dance film created by
@bayeandasa responding to D.W. Griffith’s 1915 silent film, The Birth of a Nation. Griffith's film is an assertion of white cultural/ intellectual supremacy, and a celebration of the KKK’s rise to power. Our film is an exploration of white-victimhood and its enduring viral effect on American politics and relationships. Second Seed confronts Griffith’s narrative of whiteness as the true victim of a changing world.
