Thank you Colorado for coming out to see and support us! We heard you when you said come back soon.
The fall scenery was something else. The “peepers” were everywhere, including our favorite sighting, an older couple crushing it at the roadside in side by side lawn chairs simply gazing out over swaths of golden aspens. We had gorgeous drives and good conversations, got a hike in, saw a herd of elk and other wildlife, threw down for some hilarious card (ok, and maybe drinking) games, picked tunes, saw a masterful work of sidewalk art, saw some pals and family, including
@boomerangatangerang who joined us on trumpet for Caleb’s song “Church with no Walls”. We packed ourselves in a minivan somehow, visited old stomping grounds, and in spite of slicing my pinky finger nearly to the bone two days before the trip, I was able to play guitar. Phew.
All was a good reminder that stepping out into nature, stepping toward music and connection are serious acts that assuage the blues and that ripples out into our families & relationships and surrounding communities. ❤️
