The Cowpers During Sunset: a continuation.
On September 19th, years ago- Jack drove to my apartment and told me that he needed to talk to me because he was in trouble: there was a problem.
I walked down the fire escape unsure of what the news was- after all, he was slated to move back to California and I knew we didn’t have much more time in person to spend together. I had often said to him, I would take as much time with him as I got, and then would have to be ok that he was going to be gone.
When he grabbed my hands- he said the problem was this.
“I’m in trouble, because I love you.”
One year from today- we get to officially say that we are in love forever and will cause trouble over and over. And I just cannot wait (:

The Cowpers before sunset : a series
When I told Jack the idea I had in mind for our engagement photos he countered with his own- our old roof.
Our safe haven above the 5th floor walk up that everyone who entered knew was too small. We sat up here and watched planes fly overhead and the sunset paint the skies. We played music and sang and had many toasts to making it through all of the trials of life. Many a celebration.
All it takes is an extra set of keys and suddenly you’re back in one of the most special places.
And the celebration has only begun; Getting married here we come.

The feeling is insane. The hours and years you put into creating a life in art… then the time comes where the entire universe aligns and you’re able to do exactly what it is you set out to do. We made a feature film. The years of blood sweat and tears are always worth it for the second that action is called and you get to drop everything for a moment and exist. This is the first of many. Here’s some fun behind the scenes photos. I believe indie film is where genuine stories are told these days. This all started as a crazy short film I made 2 years ago and here we are having wrapped a feature film around the character all because of @tylerpurple_14 . Thank you for your belief and ability to lead and create movie magic. And a huge thank you to everyone else that worked on this movie, I believe we have something special.
