Sharing a post about our board member @ranagriffithsass ! We are so grateful to have her on our team and for her dedication to helping those who struggle with OCD! 🤍 Hello, my name is Rana Sass! I live in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida and am on the board of JACK MHA. I was thrown into the world of OCD when my son was diagnosed his junior year of college. We were fortunate enough to find qualified OCD therapist and able to afford the cost of his treatment! Through our son’s journey I found Kim Vincenty, JACKmha mastermind, and began my work as a volunteer and board member in 2022(?)! I love that JACK has helped so many sufferers in this underserved area of mental health and I am passionate about our continual commitment of helping others. We also have a daughter. Olivia, that lives in Jacksonville, Fl and our son Charlie is now thriving and living in St Petersburg, FL. We love to snow ski, hike and boat as a family! My husband, Brian and I are loving life on the water in St Augustine and plan to continue giving back to the OCD community through fundraising and advocacy work.

We are excited to announce that applications are open for research grants, designed with young researchers in mind. Research is so vital to the informed treatment of OCD and we are so thrilled to provide this opportunity to further this important work! The application is now available on our website under “Initiatives” at: /programs-initiatives/

When we do compulsions, it is often in an effort to feel more safe or certain. However, we know that compulsions provide temporary relief but ultimately reinforce the intrusive, obsessive thought that we want gone! Though it is difficult, we must try to conquer OCD by reducing and eliminating compulsions, and we can do this by not adding fuel to the fire! 🔥 #ocd #ocdawareness #mentalhealthawareness #anxiety #therapy

Hi! I’m a therapist who specializes in eating disorders, OCD, and anxiety—and a busy mom of three who understands how full and complicated life can feel. I love helping clients strengthen their ability to sit with discomfort, so they can stop feeling stuck and start moving toward a life that feels meaningful and authentic. I serve on the board of JACK Mental Health Advocacy, and I’m incredibly proud of the work we do to expand access to OCD care and provide education and support to individuals, families, and clinicians. Born and raised in California, I now call Ventura County home. When I’m not working with clients, I’m usually on the sidelines cheering for my kids, visiting Disneyland, or finding little pockets of time for movement and creativity.

The battle is won by putting one step in front of the other( even if they are baby steps), and continuing to do that every day. With enough battles won, you win the war. May we all taste victory!

Meet Ashley! Ashley is an amazing OCD therapist with more than a decade of experience under her belt. Currently, she owns and operates a private practice in Florida. She completed her training at UF, and helped start and run UF’s Facers Camp, one of the first summer camps for OCD in the nation. She is also the acting president of JACK, running both our Plant A Camp program and soon to come Research Grant program! Ashley is also an amazing mom of twins and two goldens. She loves traveling, swimming, and tennis. 🤍

It’s the weekend! Go out and embrace everything life throws at you . Never bow to the dictates of fear. Yes, sometimes it feels like you are navigating a jungle, but look at everything at an opportunity for exploration and discovery.

Hi, everyone! My name is Lacie and I am one of the board members of JACK. I also have the privilege of running our Access to Care program! In the coming weeks, I will be getting my feet wet posting some updates and fun things on here! Be patient with me — I am no social media expert! 😋 I have been an OCD therapist for just over a decade now, and I truly think I have the best job in the world. I did most of my training at UF (go gators!) and run a small private practice in Florida. I am also a mom to a 6-year-old boy who keeps me on my toes! Family is everything to me, but I love to make time for my friends and my favorite form of self care, being around and riding horses! 🏇🏼 I am so grateful to be a part of JACK, and to know all the amazing people I have met through JACK! Stay tuned for JACK updates here! ♥️

Dear JACK MHA friends and supporters, Some of you have reached out after noticing our social media presence has been a bit sporadic — thank you for your care and concern. I’m happy to share that JACK is strong and moving full steam ahead with our programming. On a personal note, I have been diagnosed with metastatic cancer and will be taking a leave of absence to focus on treatment and healing. The good news is that JACK is in extraordinary hands. Ashley Ordway, LMHC has stepped into leadership and will continue to nurture our Plant A Camp Program alongside Victoria Schweiger, LMHC. Lacie Lazaroe, PhD will continue guiding access to care, and our dedicated team remains fully engaged — bringing their wisdom, talent, and heart to serve the OCD and related disorders community. In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing team updates here on social media. You can also stay connected at . I’m deeply grateful for this community. I hope you’ll keep me in your thoughts and prayers and continue supporting JACK’s important work. I have every confidence that the vision will continue to flourish. I’ll be cheering from the background, advising, working and supporting the mission in every way I can. With gratitude, Kim
