A big thank you to our WCDF board member @jack_j87 for hosting and teaching our 'WCC Inspire 3 Drone Training" workshop for free for members of our community. This is the second drone workshop Jack has led for our community.
@wildlife.camerawomen@mairieyres wrote "The drone session with Jack Johnston was brilliant – it was great to get a chance to fly a high-end drone like the Inspire 3. Jack was so generous with his time and knowledge, showing us how to change lenses, fit the propellers and take off and land the drone. It was also fun to try the dual control system to experiment with more complex camera manoeuvres while he was flying. Despite the cold wind, the drone was impressively stable! I enjoyed spending time in the field meeting other camerawomen and learning alongside them. It’s so valuable to get hands-on experience with equipment like this!"

Great fun shooting this sequence with @shedivestech , @pridayswildlife , @joffnature , @jonathan.privett.9 out in the Giant Redwoods in California. Using the Inspire 3 and a stripped down Black Magic 6k for FPV and pretending to be a dinosaur.

Throwback to earlier in the year filming with @mermaid_danii on her YouTube series. To be amongst 30+ Oceanic Black Tips was an experience I will never forget. They are so graceful and powerful in the water. You can't not love sharks once you get in the water with them.

Unreal morning out in the Ocean with these beauties. Ever since I started in Natural History I've been obsessed with Whales. So to get my face in the water and see them up close is something I'll remember for a very long time.
Thanks to @prashantmohesh for bringing me out under his special permit while he documents the Whales here in Mauritius.
Rissos Dolphin hunting Octopus off the Cornish coast.
With so many Octopus appearing in UK waters this year, scientists had speculated that it would bring more Rissos Dolphins in to feed on them, so it was incredible to capture this behaviour, with the Rissos dragging this octopus along through the water. Always a privilege to see so much action off the UK coastline.

Atlantic giants and deep sea hunters. Two brand new episodes are dropping first thing tomorrow on my YouTube channel.
In episode I we capture rare footage of Risso’s dolphins hunting Octopus. Scientists have speculated an increase in Risso’s sightings along the Cornish coast due to a boom in their favourite prey… Octopus. If you’ve missed it you can catch up on the full Octopus boom video on my YouTube channel now.
In episode II we venture further offshore in search of the infamous Atlantic blue fin tuna that are said to be here in huge numbers. Little did we know we would come across exactly that, filming them hunting alongside Common dolphin.
