Transparency Post 🤍 In 2019, I moved to Atlanta in hopes of fulfilling a career in the TV and film industry. Over the past six years, I’ve accomplished so much. I’m a proud member of IATSE Local 798 as a Makeup Artist, and I’ve had the opportunity to work on several productions around Atlanta, both as first team and day-playing. Unfortunately, like many creatives, work in the industry has slowed down significantly. Creativity has always been a part of who I am—I’ve loved arts and crafts since I was a little girl. For my daughter’s first birthday, I hired a balloon artist for her party. The following year, I decided to do her party setup myself to save money, and I ended up absolutely loving the process. From there, I began creating balloon arches for her on holidays and special milestone moments. Fast forward to today—the entertainment industry still hasn’t returned to what it once was for many ATL crew members. After sitting on this idea for a long time and questioning whether people would support it, I’ve finally decided to take a leap of faith and start my new business venture: @popthepartyballoondecor 🎈 You’ll never know unless you try—and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.

A career milestone I’ll never forget! 💄🎬✨ I’m excited to finally share that I had the honor of being part of Netflix’s new film, The Six Triple Eight, as a Makeup Artist. It was so good working with the talented @kyliemjefferson on set everyday who portrayed the character Bernice Baker. Bringing her story to life through my craft was both a creative and meaningful journey. Every detail mattered, from creating authentic 1940s makeup looks to highlighting the unique stories and personalities of these remarkable women. One of the highlights of this amazing experience was traveling to London with the crew to film the second half of the movie. It was my first time being part of a production on this scale, and stepping onto those sets overseas was unforgettable. Being surrounded by talented artists, and witnessing the incredible attention to detail that went into every scene was incredible! I’m forever grateful for this experience and for the opportunity to contribute to such a significant story.
