23 was a year of so much.
I started 23 working on a movie set that completely knocked me flat, a serious low point. It taught me a lot, but had me questioning myself and what my time is worth. A tough start but the year got better. I got to release my first solo EP. I got to have my first tour with the band, play our first festival, play our music live on tv for the first time. I went to some really beautiful weddings. I traveled, and read a lot of books. At 23 I really really tried to keep working through the hard stuff that our minds go through.
It’s difficult to recognize sometimes until you look back, but every day things are looking a little better. I was surrounded by so much support and patience. I opened up a bit more. The people I love were there for it all and all the right people came into my life. What more can I ask for.
Its hard not to measure your life as only accomplishments or in numbers and progress. For 24, I’d like to focus on what makes me enjoy life instead of how much I can do. Time is just so valuable and there is too much to celebrate.
With all that, 23 was more than I could’ve thought to ask for.
