13 years after his last show in Würzburg, @der_kaktus_impro and Stephen Sim (simprov) played not only one but two shows at the @cairo_wue last weekend. Good times! So I just discovered AI for music production, tried to use it for my musical improv workshop preparation and fell down a giant rabbit hole... What I did for the last 2 hours: Use the wonderful improv suggestion generator from The Glasgow Improv Theatre to get a job suggestion and an emotion and then I wrote lyrics as quickly as I could (not really improv but at least not artificial), picked a music genre and a few other prompts and let the AI do its thing. Here are a few snippets of 4 of the songs. And just like last year, my improv year ends with the Maestro of the @wuerzburgerimprofestival at the (still) small and (once again) sold out @cairo_wue . Congrats to @jeskofelix who won by portraying a mischievous cat and thank you to the Würzburger improv community and all the wonderful guests for making this format a regular thing. To be part of the wave of music, theatre and whatever other artistry you can think of, feels great when, for three days in September, this wave completely covers downtown Würzburg. It is just more fun than usual to carry your piano through the streets when so many people are doing the same thing.
