Last night at the annual gala for our charity foundation @regnbagsfonden I’m holding my husbands hand on the red carpet and thinking about how fragile that simple act still is👬🥹
In some countries I would be sentenced to death for loving him. In more than 60 countries I could be imprisoned just for being who I am. And in many places our love wouldn’t exist in the eyes of the law at all…
And yet here I am - allowed to love openly, to exist fully, to be seen and even celebrated.
Last night filled me with gratitude and heartbreak. Gratitude for the life I get to live.
Heartbreak for those who still can’t 💔
