Dug out a treasured gig poster from the archives in memory of the great Sly Dunbar, signed by the man himself on an Australian tour back in 2003. An incredible gig in Sydney with Michael Rose, essentially a Black Uhuru set.
Sly was one of the best and most prolific drummers and music producers in the world along with his Riddim twin, bassmaster Robbie Shakespeare, fusing their dub signatures across genres from reggae to jazz, funk, disco, hip-hop, rock, pop and beyond! A massive legacy on music worldwide.
Camino de Santiago 2025! Embarked on the Portuguese way this time along the Atlantic coast from Porto to Santiago De Compostela, Galicia, Spain. Some 300km walk in total and around the same number of blisters on my feet! 😅

• Grandma’s hórreo, traditional raised Galician granary. 🍋 pexegos
• Mum’s delicious cooking: percebes (goose barnacles, Galicia’s prized seafood), sardines, stingray, plus a peek at her very first sewing machine, keeping alive a long family tradition of Singer fans 🧵🪡

Despite the pouring rain, 300,000 people filled the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, so many that not everyone could cross!
Seeing so many voices come together for PEACE was incredibly moving. I’m racing against time before flying to Spain, but I couldn’t miss this powerful moment!
