Another firing in Darryl Frost’s Blastagama kiln @frostandfiregallery , this time even faster than the last, closing down after only nineteen hours! Some lovely, juicy pots came out of it, with a good amount of ash build-up and some incredibly bright glaze finishes. So awesome to spend time with this lovely bunch! Thank you Darryl for your generosity and teaching. #woodfireceramics #pottery #clay #handmade #kiln #fastfirekiln #frostandfiregallery #samanthaelisestudio

We’ve been working with our good buddy Joe over at @wildwood_nz to make a batch of cups for his delicious mushroom cocoa blends. Take a look at both the process of making the cups and how Joe whips up his delicious creations. Joe will be in Wellington at the @gogreenexpo on the 1st and 2nd of Nov.

Woooh! So we’re off on new adventures! Which means the beautiful Kiln Studio is up for sale. It’s been such an amazing experience and now we’d love to see it continue to grow and keep popping out new potters! We’ve put together a wee site that has more info, check it out, the link is in our bio. Maybe YOU could be the next KILN MASTER?

I’ve been on the other side of the world away from my studio and the wheel for nearly 2 months now. It was definitely starting to take a bit of a mental toll on me. But yesterday the wonderful @mizuyoyamashita welcomed me into her beautiful studio for the day to allow me a bit of a wheel fix! Mizuyo has created an amazing, welcoming calm tranquil space in the heart of one of the biggest city’s in the world. Thank you Mizuyo for all of the conversations, Clay and tea! Look forward to the next time we meet.
