First post in quite some time because how could I not post this?
Yeah. That's clearly my dad.
I can't be more thankful for this guy and the father he has been to me. I would gladly (and inadvertently sometimes do) walk in his footsteps. From the looks of it, the shoe already fits!
Love you, pops!
I'm doing my best to be like the man in that picture, and you know I'm buying that same Pentax camera.
Not many people get to live out their childhood dreams.
Those unrealistic fantasies fade away as life settles in.
But somehow, my brother managed to pull it off. And with style.
Jake grew up listening to and obsessing over Weezer (I can attest), even formed a band called "Wannabeezer" in middle school with his friends. He ultimately became who he is today because of that early inspiration. As a kid he could only dream of one day working with them, but today they released their 'comeback' record (White Album) and he's the producer behind it. If only he could see the look on his younger self's face after hearing that news!
Go check out the new Weezer record people! It's a treat (totally biased, but my bias is widely shared!).

I wouldn't normally post something like this, but it's a big day and I'm a proud brother. Deal with it.

Throw back to the simple days, when rolling around in the wet grass seemed like a good idea.
Justin's heavy glare and those high wasted choo choo jammies leave no question that we took our childhood very seriously.
Guaranteed laughing parents behind the camera.

Over a year ago I was sitting on a bench with this guy, imagining what life in Seattle would be like.
I watched his eyes get big and fill with excitement/terror at the thought of leaving Carp, making me question how long he'd last if we made it up there.
Now he's been there a year and is clearly killing it where he stands!
Happy Juan year in Seattle! π

Sitting here in freezing Boise, where I was born, I'm reminded of the geographical journey that's led to this year's end.
Boise - Denver - Carpinteria - Seattle - Now onto LA.
My list of moves isn't too impressive, but it's fascinating how a simple move can lead to an abundance of new experiences and opportunities.
If you have the opportunity or desire to move to or visit an unfamiliar place, go for it. Life is too fleeting to sit comfortably where you've always been.

I get restless when I don't have some sort of project to work on, so I figured it was time to create a man cave that would allow my endless projects to run rampant and also have space to sit and relax. Oh, I can get used to this. Goldie isn't really into it though.π§πͺπΌ
