It’s been more than 8 months since I moved to LA.
Sometimes felt like a day, and sometimes like an eternity😅
It was definitely not what I expected- and in a way it was one of the most hard periods in my life. One of the most interesting either.
I’ve learned better to make decisions for my own life.
But most of all- I’ve been doing what I really love, diving into cinematography 100%
NYFA was a quick start. It also quickly became home- and finished just as fast😀
It was terrific to be learning straight from Pascal Lebègue (who shot all the first iconic Madonna’s videos, and has been working with Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, J.Lo, Shakira,..), David Armstrong (DoP of Saw), Mike Williamson, Rick Greenwood- and many other our amazing instructors.
At certain points it was extremely hard either. Cinematography is a business where you have to rely on people around as nowhere else. So in the end you realize how crucial it is to find your team.
I’m grateful to the Universe for some people I’ve met here.
We’ve finished my thesis film, PostAp drama The Road to the Ocean with
@neonjersey - which was a milestone for me- and after some re-editing we’re going to submit it to festivals.
Last week I’ve got my OPT approved- which now gives me the right to officially work in the States (and not to just spend money here😅)
Now it’s the new life chapter🍀✨

‘Внезапно’ прошло уже 8 месяцев с тех пор, как я переехала в Лос-Анджелес. Хотя иногда ощущение, что вчера - а иногда, что вечность назад))
Это было определенно не так, как я ожидала- и в каком-то смысле это был один из самых сложных периодов в моей жизни до сих пор. Один из самых интересных тоже.
Все это совершенно точно лучше научило меня принимать решения по поводу собственной жизни)
И самое главное, что здесь я начала по-настоящему заниматься тем, что люблю и чем хочу заниматься в жизни, погрузившись в кинематографию на 100%
В прошлом месяце мы закончили мой выпускной фильм, пост-апокалиптик драму “Дорога к океану”. Остается немного поправить монтаж- и можно подаваться на фестивали)
На прошлой неделе мне одобрили пост-академический тренинг, дающий право на оф.работу в Штатах.
Теперь только новая жизненная глава 😊
