Hey!!! I *finally* got around to making my first showreel since early 2023. Damn time flies! Thank you to everyone who appeared in, bankrolled, helped animate, captured, supported me during all of the crazy productions you see here. And also thanks to everyone who supported me in the ones you DON'T see here. You are still much appreciated. 📹🎥 📽️🎬 May this 10th year of freelancing as a videographer be just as productive! PS. New website is soft-launched ( RHRN.ch ), check it out and be sure to tell me if you find any bugs.🐛

It’s been a week since our shoot at the Esrange Space Center in the Arctic wilderness of 🇸🇪 and only now am I getting around to photo dumping. Along with my colleague Jonny, we were sent by the Geneva Department of Education to document the experiences of two young polymechanic apprentices, Lyse & Max, during their internship at this extraordinary location. Besides capturing them building stratospheric ballon gondolas and calibrating sounding rockets, we also visited the fascinating Swedish Institute of Space Physics where they build interplanetary spacecraft, met the world’s youngest female flight director, hunted auroras, and explored the legendary IceHotel. Not shown: The actual satellite capable rocket facilities. With geopolitical tensions high, that part of the base was off limits. Descs 1. A « Spinning Test », where rocket weight distribution is adjusted so it will fly straight. A discrepancy as small as a gram can affect a launch trajectory 😩🚀 2.The Skylark launch dome 3.The Esrange campus 4. Driving at 80km/h on icy roads 5. Marie Lambert, the Flight Director 6. Spotted! 7. The Ice Hotel, space-themed to celebrate Esrange!! 8. Jonny recording holophonics 9. Jonny despairing after an icecloud got in the way of us seeing the auroras 10. The middle of nowhere

Oh how I love @ateliersportesouvertes_geneve . Each artist’s workshop is a projection of their internal universe-Their inspirations, creations, half-finished creations all knitted together into a cocoon. Seeing them all juxtaposed is like hopping between planets, the best way to spend a grey Sunday afternoon.

My favorite tree in Greater Geneva. I take a picture of her pretty much every time I pass by. Today she was looking especially beautiful. So I shared a glimpse.

🎉 Meet the Crew 🎉 A decade in, and we couldn’t have done it alone. Today: @j.mdv – Videographer, creative mind, interested in many things. It’s rare to walk away from a conference with a new friend, but that’s exactly what happened at the very first Swiss VR Conference in 2016. Back then, VR was still young, experimental, and a little mysterious. 💫 That’s where Alessandro met Jonathan, a self-taught videographer with a great eye and a big curiosity. A few year later, when the pandemic started, there was suddenly a huge need for e-learning. Hands-on workshops for dental surgeons were no longer possible, and that’s when our collaboration began. Over several occasions, we filmed top surgeons demonstrating their procedures on plastic models. 🦷 And the surreal part? These world-class professionals came all the way to our scruffy old atelier in Altstetten, which, for a few days at a time, turned into a small film studio. Unforgettable moments, a lot of improvisation, and a collaboration we still look back on with a smile. Thanks, Jonathan!
