Fruit poster design for Makanlah Buah-Buahan Tempatan (MBBT), a group exhibition happening in collaboration with KL Art Book Fair × BIGGER Art Fair, presented at OCAT Shenzhen.
🔴 Liar & Lembut / Wild & Soft 🟢
This work reconstructs the rambutan through typography, where elongated, calligraphic letterforms extend into bristle-like strokes that shape the fruit’s rounded body. Language becomes texture; text becomes skin.
Set against a saturated green field, a radiant red core suggests flesh beneath surface. The spikes curl rather than pierce, softening what appears defensive.
Liar & Lembut / Wild & Soft reflects on duality as coexistence. Wildness and tenderness inhabit the same form, proposing that strength is not the absence of vulnerability, but its presence within.
