-The Spyrals (Fuzz Club)
The Spyrals new album, Retrograde, harkens back to their earliest sounds while stepping into the future. After over a decade of releasing music, Jeff Lewis finds the throughline to what makes The Spyrals. It’s loud, live and real. After self-recording multiple albums in practice studios and garages, the band entered Station House studio in Echo Park, Los Angeles in early 2024. Coming out of months of jamming, the band carved out a collection of songs. From blues vamps to spaced-out bliss, the psychedelic roots shine through on the group’s fifth LP.
-Izzy Outerspace
Atwood Magazine is proud to be premiering “Beautiful Blur,” the latest intoxicating single from Los Angeles-based indie pop artist Izzy Outerspace. The moniker for Switzerland-born singer/songwriter Isabelle Baumgartner, Izzy Outerspace has been immersing our ears in lush, spellbinding worlds for four years now. She cites artists like Damien Rice and Jeff Buckley as among her primary inspiraton, pulling further inspiration from ’90s German rock and Brit Pop.
-High Tatras is a band that sounds like the streets of their resident Los Angeles, a slow-melting and reflective blend of psychedelic, freak folk, progressive, and art rock, that sparkles with post punk, garage rock, and experimental nuggets, like a late-night hallucination in a neon haze. Their first full-length album "Confession Love Torture Possession" made Grimy Goods' list as a favorite of 2024
-Ann Eliza (Solo)
A dreamy singer-songwriter with a haunting, intimate voice, she creates slow, atmospheric songs that linger like midnight fog. Inspired by the hazy melancholy of Mazzy Star and the stark beauty of Nico, her music blends reverb-washed guitars with poetic, hypnotic melodies.
