It was an early afternoon in the late 90’s and this little interesting woman walked through the door of my shop; the next thing I know 8 hours had passed, I walked China back to her home, and a beautiful relationship that would span almost 3 decades was born. We would discuss art, architecture, stories of growing up in the south, fashion, and design. I could listen to her stories of travel and people for hours… and often did. Her work in Boston Public Garden as a volunteer in unparalleled and the Roses Gardens as we know them wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for her years of dedication. My dearest China Altman, you may have left our site in this world, but the place you hold in my heart will always be full of colors, life, and of course so so so many flowers.

Had a great time with mom out on the San Antonio Riverwalk. Most people who pass through are familiar with the area downtown surrounded by shops but the trail continues down the San Antonio River and passes a number of Missions and installations. On the map you can also find it under the Acequia Park Trail. We’ve done the path before on our normal road bikes, but the rents are graduating to some pedal assist bikes for longer rides and I wanted to experience it as well. The trail isn’t super hilly, but It was def noticeable when the bike kick’d in. We also went for the last part of the sun light on Boxing Day and most people we saw were out fishing (catch n release). Had the best time today strolling the outdoor installations of @glenstonemuseum and the indoor galleries. The inside is a no pics zone and is jam packed full of some of the most amazing contemporary artists that you have to see for yourself. i am most def gunna be returning here with more time and probably my big girl camera. thank you team for the work y’all do and the accessibility you offer to the public by having this museum.
